OUR STORY

TRA was founded during the Great Recession and began as a house-flipping business and a private real estate lender in the East San Francisco Bay Area, purchasing single-family homes and other distressed properties and loans. In 2011, the company expanded its focus to include high-end spec home development and value-added multifamily investments. 

Since then, TRA has played a variety of roles including direct sponsor, fund manager, JV equity partner, preferred equity provider, and real estate lender. Our primary focus is on multifamily real estate, but we opportunistically invest in single-family, self-storage, and other commercial real estate projects.

TRA Investments is a discretionary fund manager providing various capital solutions, including preferred equity and common equity, for multifamily owners and buyers nationwide. We invest in properties in high-growth markets across the country.
